How to Overcome

   What I believe

The One Thing That is More Important Than Overcoming Social Anxiety

I am a born again Christian and do believe in a God in Heaven that knows what everyone's problems are. He knows that the people reading the words on this website - are trying to solve their Social Anxiety. I believe God feels for you very much and wants you to overcome this as well. It says in the Bible whoever seeks God - He will deliver you from all your fears.

Many of you probably have reached out to God Himself and never seen any answers. I'm here to tell you that I have. However, there are times that I don't pray to God and go ahead and do "my own thing" - that's when I run into problems. That's when I call out to God when panic attacks arise and he doesn't answer me.

As strange as it seems, you have to have a close relationship with God Himself - on a consistent basis. It's very hard to do - but you have to practice it. If you really seek God and put Him first, then he will help you along the way. You will fail at times, but he will hold you up. Everything happens for a reason - even if you have social anxiety.

People may wonder about God helping them with their problems (i.e. social anxiety in this case). They will pray often - but nothing comes. They may pray all their life - but again, nothing is answered. There is one door one must enter in order to become close to God and have their prayers answered the way God wants them to be answered. It is called Salvation.

The way to Salvation is simply this. Believing that there is a God who sent His only Son - Jesus Christ (Who was equal to God and was really God Himself) to this world to die for the sins of the world so that we have an opportunity of having eternal life after our death. Christ came to this world when the Roman Empire was in existence. He lived a perfect life and preached that the only way to God was through Him. Some people did not like this new gospel message that he was preaching, so they sought to have him killed. They eventually got what they wished for, had him tortured and then nailed to a Roman Cross where He died. However, when men die, that is the end of their story. When Christ died, He was buried, but rose from the dead the third day - therefore overcoming death itself. He was a perfect "man", without sin, but was killed and basically was a sacrifice to pay for all our sins that we committed.

Now we all have the opportunity to have eternal life because of this act of kindness that Christ did. All we have to do is acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, repent of all of our wrong doings and accept him into our heart. Pray to him that we will follow him. For more information on how to become a Christian - see Salvation. This can lead to not just victory over social anxiety, but over our sins itself.
